Kaspa is a cryptocurrency project designed with a very clear purpose: to be fast and scalable. To achieve this, Kaspa employs an innovative approach called "blockDAG," where it uses a DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) to build a database where information can be processed in parallel and securely, while sidestepping the limitations of blockchain technology.

Kaspa operates on its own decentralised network, which uses blockDAG technology. In this network, nodes are responsible for processing and aggregating information in parallel, while using historical data to provide validity to the aggregated data. Finally, as more data is added to the network, it becomes part of the network's history and is validated under the general consensus of the network, preventing manipulation.

The main developer of Kaspa is Yonatan Sompolinsky, who is known for his work in blockchain technologies and his research in decentralised systems. Additionally, his core development team includes a large number of experts in cryptography and software development who have contributed to the advancement of the Kaspa network, alongside its community and users.
